Trama:
La tredicenne Sydney è sulla buona strada per crescere, nonostante gli sforzi di buon cuore del suo padre protettivo, Max. Mentre Sydney cerca di spiegare le sue ali e prendere più decisioni per se stessa, Max fa tutto il possibile per tenerla a freno e mantenerla la sua bambina. Ma così facendo, sua madre, Judy, ricorda le sue buffonate all'età di Sydney, e i parallelismi - illustrati da sequenze comiche di flashback con protagonista un giovane Max - sono sia divertenti che illuminanti.
